This trek is ideal for those who want to enjoy nature at their own pace. With a duration of 5 hours and a route of 9 km, it has a positive elevation gain of 300 meters, making it perfect for anyone with a little bit of physical condition. The slopes are gentle and moderate, so even beginners will feel encouraged!
- Season: You can do it all year round. In winter, you walk on snow with crampons or snowshoes. By the end of October, it begins to thaw and stays that way until May. Each season has its own charm.
- The route: You start in the Tierra Mayor Valley, crossing native forests and peat bogs. Along the river, you’ll see beaver dams—an exotic species that transforms the landscape. After about two hours of gentle ascent, you arrive at Laguna Esmeralda, a glacial spectacle surrounded by mountains. The photos will turn out spectacular!

- Water bottle (500 ml, 750 ml, or 1 liter refillable).
- We recommend extras such as spare long socks, gaiters, gloves, sun hat, buff, warm hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
